Why am i unable to type an amount directly into Paragraph Panel

iMac Retina 5K - OSX 10.12.1 - Adobe CC 2017 - InDesign 2017

For some peculiar reason i can no longer make amendments to indents etc (in the paragraph panel) by simply clicking in it and typing the desired amount.

The only way i can get it to click the up/down arrows to make the desired adjustments.

This behaviour only seems to happen in the Paragraph and not any other panels?????

Does anybody have any suggestions on what is happening, only started happening since updating to 2017 CC.

Meaning that the engineers are working on the issue, and it will at some point be fixed in an update, date unknown.

As a temporary workaround:

1. Turn on "Application Frame" under menu "Window".

and / or

2. Navigate to Preferences>Advanced Type>Show Adornment on Text Selection/Text Frame for more Type controls  >>  uncheck these.
