Why are my text-boxes red framed and coloured?

Hello my dear wise users!

I have a problem with InDesign... since a few weeks some of my documents look like this, and I have no clou, how to remove this colour. See attached file.

Do you have any ideas for me?

Thanks a lot in advance, Susanne

Assigned frame for InCopy or perhaps XML.

Could be paragraph shading for the paragraph styles applied on these paragraphs. Check the style property if it is indeed enabled.

Dear Manan, thanks for responding!

I am afraid, that is not the reason. When I switch to "preview" the document, these shades are gone. And they are not printed as well. I should have wrote this in my first post.

Many greetings, Susanne

What color and effects does your object style has applied. If you do not work with styles, as anyone should do, what properties (stroke and color ) and effects did you apply to the text frame?

Hello!

Thank you for your answer!

My text boxes have no style and no attributes, e. g. the boxes are without filling colour and without strokes/lines.

But just in that moment I found the solution: I'll attach a screenshot.

Main menue "Ansicht" -> "Extras" -> "zugewiesene Rahmen ausblenden"

Thank you for helping.

Many greetings, Susanne

I too have some text and images with a red frame; all the rest are blue.  What caused this & how to I correct it?

And @BobLevine what is an assigned frame?

Thanks!!

That is simply the color assigned to the layer. It has nothing to do with this topic which is now a year and half old. I'm locking it to avoid any future confusion.
