Why can’t my spread be separated when facing pages is off?

I need to put bleeds to the spine however I’m unable to separate the pages even though the facing pages are off. There must have a spread setting somewhere that I can’t seem to disable.

    What is your version of InDesign?

    What is your version of operating system?

    Hi Tammy,

    best you'll show a screenshot of your spread with the pages you want to part plus the Pages panel where we can have a look at master pages and document pages. Also look up File > Document Setup… and make sure that your document is a non-facing pages one.

    Check in the pages pallet for Allow Document Pages to Shuffle. 

    Really, though, you should keep your document as facing pages so you can retain the unique properties of the left and right pages.
