Why do I get SharedContent plugin error?

My indd document was created in iD CS5.5. On opening in iD CS5, there is a popup which says that SharedContent plugin was used in the creation of the file. The popup then provides the option to proceed anyway. Will I be safe doing that, or is there a workflow for installing the plugin in CS5?

Check this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5646527#5646527. At the end there's a script that will allow you to export the file to IDML without opening it (thanks to Willi Adelberger for the tip!). Then you can open the IDML and you can edit it. As Peter mentioned there're some links missing.

I have CS4 and apparently cannot open the INDD file in my version of indesign. I would be very glad if someone would be able to help me convert the INDD file to IDML.

You have a INDD created in CS4 that you cannot open? Have you tried the script mentioned in the previous post?
