Hi @Chris P. Bacon ,

are you sure that the selected graphic frame contains the image?

Perhaps it contains another graphic frame with the image inside…

Hi,

no it's the image and its frame only.

I tried with several .jpg images.

Is the extraction done locally or in the cloud?

What image formats does it support?

So weird it's not working.

Wonder if it's a system spec thing?

What are your computer specs?

Last ditch resort

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

From my experiments - it should be available all the time - even with no image selected.

So definitely resetting preferences is the first step - which I posted above.

If that doesn't work

Hi Chris

Not sure why it's not working for you.

If a document is not behaving well then try

File>Export

Choose IDML

Open the IDML in InDesign
Save the file as a new InDesign file with a new name
See if the issue persists.

-----------

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

I found the same image online.

It's working for me

Even when it's just copy and paste with nothing in the links

This is also a webp format.
