Workflow Indesign - Incopy _textfiles @dropbox - no updates seen from the editor

Together with the editor i work as designer on a big file for translation.

She works at her place in Incopy - we share the textfiles (icma) in dropbox. I update all the linked articles in indesign and do the styling and design.

She sees all my changes at her side - but we don't get her work updated somehow.

The icma file shows her her changes, but the related icml files are still in original state.

What is going wrong? Is there another way to update the linked icma file from her?

(She is working in the latest version of Incopy - as i do)

Skip the ICMA and use a layout based workflow. You export all InCopy stories; she opens the INDD file, checks out files, makes changes and then checks them back in.

Or use Assignments.

Frans, they are using assignments. That's why I suggested not using them. It's just another step with more possibilities for something to go wrong.

Right, sorry, I misread because they said 'textfiles', my bad 😉
