Question

Workspace is transparent

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to turn off or something that transparent workspace in all of my Adobe applications? I noticed it a long long time ago but it really started to bother me. I can slightly see through it but sometimes there's nothing opened behind and still I can see some "old" windows etc. Btw I'm using Windows 10 and all of my Adobe applications are up to date.

I also suspect the screen, but this sounds more a temporary condition known as image retention. It depends on your type of monitor. Some LCD monitors (especially those using IPS technology) can be susceptible. In fact, the monitor I'm on now (a 2015 iMac 27" Retina) has been showing more window ghosting as it ages, but it does go away eventually.

I'm using Dell U3129Q and I think it is not screen burn. But I would really like to know what it is.

@brankica

So called "screen burn" ?

One possibility, although I think it would be apparent across all apps.

@brankica — do you see this "transparent" overlay on all apps, including, say, a mostly-white browser screen? Does it remain the same no matter what you do, and over time? That would be screen burn, and it's not fixable.

It is happening only on those "black, dark" themed window. Other colors are ok. But when I open black image background in my web browser everything is ok - it is not transparent. 😕😕

I have no idea what you might be referring to. Can you post at least a partial screenshot to illustrate what you mean? (I am particularly confused by the reference to "seeing old windows" and wonder if this is a faulty video card/driver/subsystem that might not be fully clearing window buffers.)

Dear James, here are some screenshots. As you can see trough this  Id workspace I can see desktop background even there is a window opened. I'm using Dell U3129Q. I have just checked, it is also with AutoCAD windows, while the black "theme" is on. Usually I see some opened windows but sometimes there is only background. I hope you can see and understand what it is about. Also there are photos that I took with my iPhone because when I open these screenshots I can't see anything because I can see trough them 😆 I guess while they are black.

I think it's U3219Q?

Can you mark those "ghosts"? Because on screenshots I can't see them.

And there is nothing on the photos - except on the one from your another reply - and i think it's a screen burn - or rather what @Brad @ Roaring Mouse suggested - and i have on my laptop - temporary screen burn that goes away after few minutes.
