Sorry to hear about the trouble. Has the location of the file changed? Have you tried opening the file from the actual location? If not, please try that and let us know if it works or if you need any further assistance.
Are your documents on your hard drive or are they located on a cloud server or other external source? If the files in question are not on your hard drive then please try opening a file that is on your hard drive to see if there is a problem with InDesign rather than with the source of your files. If the files are loceted on an external source try downloading the files first to your hard drive and then see if they will open. Many times trying to work directly from an external source can be extremely unreliable.
