Access restrictions to publish online indesign documents

Hi there,

I would like to publish online my portfolio and use the link to make job applications. The thing is, my portfolio has very sensitive content and I DO NOT want anyone else except the people with a link to have access to my document.

Is it working like that? Or if I publish online, everyone with a google search can find my sensitive files?

Please let me know ASAP.

Thanks for your time.

Best,

Georgios

Hi Georgios,

everyone who has the link can access your Publish Online portfolio.

The data is hosted on an Adobe Server so you cannot password protect it ( if this is what you are asking ).

If you like to do something similar that is hosted on your own server, see into the in5 plug-in for InDesign:

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have an IN5 license! Is it possible to password protect my link using IN5?

Basically, I am asking if the content from adobe servers is open to google search, which means that everyone can access my content immediately through google.

Best,

Georgios

I don't recall if In5 directly gives you the ability to password protect your site. But In5 does allow you to host your project on any server. So you could password protect it on the server side for sure.
