Hi All,

I am creating a paragraph style for numbered headings using the Alpha (A, B, C…etc) format and when it gets to Z it moves on to doube character (AA, AB, AC… etc). My question is how to I change that format to AA, BB, CC…etc?

There is no option to add in any new numbering style or modify the existing style that I know of. We have to make do with what is available, you can search if some third party plugin does offer this feature.

Word uses the method you desire. You could import your text and convert the "number" to text upon import.

I also woud love this feature or ot know of such a plugin because Word uses AA, BB, CC so I often have this conflict when my client uses Word.

Manually number the post-Z headings.

right that's what i have had to do in the past but it's a pain as you don't want ot lose the automatic endnote refs so i need to make a copy and leave the opriginal on the side.
