Booklet with 2 languages flipped

New Here ,
Sep 28, 2017 Sep 28, 2017

Hi,

I'm trying to create a booklet with two languages - one side is one language and other side the other language. When it flips over the second language cover would be where the back cover normally would be. I already found answers in this forum how to set it up with 2 separate files and placing the indesign file so when there are updates the flipped version just needs to update links.

One problem/question I have - how do you solve the center spread (the end of each booklet)? Do you just design a back cover and have both flipped next to each other or are there other more "elegant" solutions?

Thanks

Yes, you can do that.

I would rotate the facing page of the center spread180°

Can you post the link to the forum instructions you found helpful, so others can benefit from it?

Hi PIDesign,

Here are some tutorials for page adjustment while printing 2 sided booklet.

I would like to see the copy "Last page of the english version" and the corresponding sentence on the opposite page in the other language (upside down), as some readers may be confused when they see upside down pages. The last page of each version is not the back cover, there is no back cover in your book, only two front covers.

So for the center spread I could just use a background, spreading over both pages, so when the reader reaches the last page of the booklet and turns it, it will show the background now text or anything?

Thanks
