My calendar script no longer works in CC2018. Is there a script that works with CC2018?

I loaded the full folder calendar in Apps>ID>Script Panel>Samples and it still doesn't show the calendar folder. I right clicked the calendar script that show in indesign and the path takes me to richard>Preferences>Adobe Indesign>Version 13.0>en_US>Scripts. I deleted what was in the apps folder and dropped the Wizard folder in again and now I see it. Weird.

Also, none of my scripts no longer appear in scripts menu after a reboot.

If you mean Scott Selberg's Calendar Wizard script v5.0.20 then I can confirm that it works in Adobe InDesign CC 2018 (13.0.1) on a mac running Mac High Sierra 10.13.3.

Since upgrading to High Sierra, I've noticed that the scripts panel is no longer sorted in alphabetical order and that is driving me insane, but it's being looked into by the techs:

If the answer wasn't in my post, perhaps it might be on my blog at colecandoo!

If you upgrade from an older version of ID and allow the old version to be deleted, you would lose any scripts that were stored in the old application folder, which show in the Script panel's Application folder. Scripts can also be stored in your ID preferences folder and show in the panel's User folder, but you still have to be careful to backup the preferences scripts folder in case you have to trash your preferences.

OK. Trashed prefs. Deleted Calendar Script. Downloaded and reinstalled. Still get this message. Running 10.13.3 and CC2018. I get this for at least one other script that I can't recall at the moment. Scripts reside in two locations for some reason: Design CC 2018>Scripts Panel>Samples and Design CC 2018>Scripts Panel>users. Not sure if I or one of my employees moved scripts around.

I don't think calendar wizard comes with the ID samples.

The current version is here:

Adobe Indesign Calendar Wizard download | SourceForge.net

I think the problem is this script is a multi-file javascript, so you have to install the entire folder.

So here's what the calendar wizard installation would look in the Application scripts folder:

In the Scripts panel it would look like this:

Hmmmm…my ID folder doesn't look like that.

I'm just using subfolders in my Scripts Panel folder to organize my scripts—you can do the same.

All you have to do is drag the calendarWizard folder and its contents into the root of your Scripts Panel folder. Then it will show as a folder in your Scripts panel (Window>Utilities>Scripts) under Application.

CalendarWizard.js won't work without the source-files folder present—you're getting the error because it's looking for the other scripts inside of source-files:

The only folder you should have inside the Scripts Panel folder is Samples (which are the ones that ship with ID)...but like what was mentioned above, you might have full folders that came with scripts (like Calendar Wizard). Where did that users folder come from? In the Scripts panel in ID, the User folder means that you installed the script for individual users. The ones in the InDesign > Scripts > Scripts Panel are loaded for all users on the machine. If you select a folder from the panel in ID, you can choose Reveal in Finder to see where the script is actually sitting...I wonder if the folder got moved.

The only folder you should have inside the Scripts Panel folder is Samples

If you want to keep your Scripts folder organized, you can add any number of your own subfolders—you could have two user folders without breaking anything. If a script loads other scripts the paths do have to remain absolute.

If I pull calandarWizard from its folder and run from Extendscript toolkit I can see the error Richard gets as it looks for the missing source-files folder.

Hello all. Just cloned my old mac to new mac. Scripts appears to be in correct location. However, when I open scripts from within ID, the folder is empty.

Your Scripts panel should have two root folders named Application and User:

Screen Shot 4.png

The path to the User folder is:

/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 13.0/en_US/Scripts

The path to the Application folder, which is not showing in you installation would be:

/Applications/Adobe InDesign CC 2018/Scripts/Scripts Panel

Go back to your old mac and check the above folders for the missing scripts.

You can use either root folder to store your scripts, and if you want to organize them the scripts can be saved in sub folders. I organize my scripts in the Application folder
