Cannot set InDesign 2020 to default

I installed InDesign on a new computer with Windows 10 and it automatically installed version 15 (2020). I needed the previous version 14 (2019), so I right clicked on the Creative Cloud icon for InDesign and it installed fine, so I now have both versions running. The problem is: I cannot set the default to 2020. When I run the Windows "set default apps" it does not give me a choice for 2020. And when I right click on an INDD file, I can find the 2020 version by choosing "look for another app on this PC", but even when I click on the 202 EXE file, it opens as 2019. Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Yes. Uninstall both versions.

Restart your machine.
First install CC 2019, then install InDesign 2020.

The alternative:
Tinker with your system's registry.

I'd avoid that.
