'Cutting out' a font to show pic underneath?

Hi all,

I'm not sure if what I want to do is possible in InDesign alone, but I wanted to ask anyway.

Say I have a picture on my page. I've then drawn a coloured box on top, and added some text into the coloured box.

Is it possible to 'cut out' the text, so that the picture underneath shows through, 'filling' the letters?

Select the picture with the Direct Select tool (white arrow) and Cut. Delete the frame the picture was in. Select the text frame in question. Make sure only the text you want to contain the picture is in the text frame. Go to Type > Create Outlines. With the now outlined type selected, choose Edit > Paste Into.
