Data Merge for Vertical Text

I already know how to type vertically in Indesign using Path Type tool. But the problem with that is we need to hide the last character. I have 11,000 different data which I need to merge, and it will be absurd if I add 11,000 Hidden character of each of them. Please tell me what I can do here which can help me.

I can use Illustrator for data merge too. But, then I have to run a batch and save 11,000 different files.

Why is that?

Best think of something different doing vertical text.

Use a text frame rotated by -90° with one line of text where the Japanese Paragraph Composer is used with paragraph formatting and every character is rotated by 90°.

From my German InDesign where I was using ExtendScript scripting to apply the Japanese Paragraph Composer and where I rotated every single character to 90°:

Some details of my paragraph style after using my script:

How to get this formatting when no Japanese InDesign is available?
