How do I add a glow pulse animation to text

Hey Guys,

I'm quite a rookie when it comes to interactive-based InDesign CC and I'm used to getting a result after hours of trying things when I try new techniques on it but I can't for the life of me work out how to get the end result that I am after.

I am a using fixed layout ePub file to create an interactive magazine. I have hyperlinked headings and am after a way to show that there is something you can click/press (It's being made for use on an iPad). My idea was to have a single pulse effect. Essentially just a fade in just after page load and instantly fade back out. I am currently attempting to have two layers of the heading, one with an outer glow effect on it and one just with the bare text, and fade in and out the glowing text and have it stay gone after fading out. In theory, this would allow the glowing effect to fade in and out and keep the text there the entire process with no change.

Is the idea i'm after possible and am I looking at doing the correct way or have I got the idea all wrong?? I've gotten pretty desperate to find an answer since it's almost all I have to do now and it has to be done in a couple of days!

You could try creating text effects in Adobe Animate or After Effects and place that in your InDesign document for FXL ePub.

If it's to be used for an iPad consider iBooks Author iBooks Author - Apple (UK)

It's also worth experimenting with InDesign's Publish Online (if your content is free).
