How to Automatically Import Photos (was "Help")

Good morning I would like to ask for help. I have to make a 200-page photo book. Each page is a single photo. Is there an automatic system to import 200 photos and automatically convert them into pages without having to create 200 pages first and then insert them one by one? Or after creating the document with two pages there is an automatic function that allows you to insert a picture per page? Thank you very much

    Hi aniellob9714682 ,

without a script and a well set up document it will take you less than 10 minutes to finsish this task, I think.

Do a document with 200 pages.

On master A do a graphic frame. Set its empty frame fitting options to Fill Proportionally.

Load all your 200 images to the place gun ( filled cursor ).

Go from document page to document page and click one time in the graphic frame that is shown by master A.

    That's it…

    Regards,
    Uwe

Another automatic way is a script from Loic Aigon @ Ozalto - it's called Folder2CSV. Put all your images in a folder and run the script - it will then make a data merge file. From here, place a box the size of the page and from the data merge panel, place the image into the box and make sure that the placement options are what you're after.

    Downloads | Ozalto

Another automatic way is a script that ships with InDesign - imagecatalog.jsx - run this script and in the UI that appears, request a 1 x 1 grid and this should populate a new document with all images in a folder.

Other scripts that ship by default: https://indesignsecrets.com/default-sample-scripts-indesign.php

There is a script from Roland Dreger that does this quite well:
