Hi Debbie:
We are always happy to help when you have a question.
But speaking as a career InDesign instructor, if my student needs to go find outside for help with every class assignment, it tells me that I'm not doing a great job teaching the topics. You might want to start by approaching your teacher to let him/her know that you are struggling in the class, and give them a change to help you one-on-one. Once they are aware that you need additional help, it may well change how they present inform

Which version of InDesign do you have and your operating system?
You first need to create a new document in InDesign: File > New > Document (you'll need to know what size your document is to be.
A logo is normally in a digital format, such as a JPG. If yours is printed say on a business card, you'll need to scan the logo from the card and save it as a JPG.
You then File > Place your logo into your recently created InDesign document and add any text you want and save it as a INDD: File > Save As
You can use the InDesign presets to export your document, Acrobat PDF Presets and select Press Quality PDF.

We never printed the business card it was just save with all the info I put
on this email. I have no clue how we saved it.... this is my first indesign
class in school I am 200% new to this. So I would have to print it first
then scan it and save it?

Hi Debbie:
It's not clear to me if you have designed the business card yet in InDesign. If you haven't, start there, but your instructor is listing the output that results from using File > Package on an existing InDesign document.

Barb I created the business card using the indesign software we just didn’t
have to print it we just had to save it we all the info I put in my
previous email so now I have to create an invitation card for a grand
opening and I gave to use the same logo from my business card. I have no
idea how to copy my logo...

Is the invitation to look something like this?
Do you have the text for the invitation and the size of the invite?
Is the logo on another InDesign document, if not, where and in what form is it?

Ah, so you just need to reuse the logo in a new file? Is that the actual question? Nothing to do with the list in the first post?
If so:
This shows you where the logo is stored currently. Copy it to your new project folder, start the new document and add it via File > Place.

my next question is in the invitation card do I put the color if the

It's best to start a new thread for unrelated questions.
The background needs to be in the back of the other objects. You can draw it first, and draw the other objects on top of if, or use Object > Arrange > Send to Back.

Just open the business card in InDesign and choose File > Package. Follow the prompts. Choose the following checkmarks from the bottom of this image:
~Barb
EDIT: And change Select PDF Preset to [Press Quality] in the last menu, and then zip the resulting folder, which will have everything she asked for in it, including your logo (it's a linked graphic).
