How to have new page to Alternate Layout?

Hello,

I have just found the Alternate layout and I am exploring its possibilities.

I have a layout of which I made an alternate layout. Now I need to add a new page in the original layout. However, this new page is not in the Alternate Layout.

What is the best way to add it so that the link to text is still there?
