Question

IDCS2 (WIN) SDK Download

Hello Folks:

I am still in the process of setting up my new Windows box and I need to get the CS2 SDK. The website lists a lot of SDK "update" downloads but I see nothing that says "InDesign CS2 SDK." Sending an email to Mark Niemann-Ross, I received an auto reply that says he will not be back in the office until January 8, 2007. Does anyone know where I can get a fresh copy of the CS2 Win SDK?

TIA!

John

Where can I get a copy or download the 2003 version?
Microsoft doesn't have it for download any more. Everything points to the 2005 version.

Or if someone can email it to me that would be GREAT.

VC 2005 isn't supported for CS2 - you have to use 2003.

I figured as much. Thanks for the input.

I am trying to use Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition to create the plugins.
So far I have been unsuccessful in even creating the Acorn plugin.

Hi David!

If I'm right, I think you must have the debug version
if you want to have those things.

And to get that, as far as I know you have to be an ASN member.

I am having a hard time finding the full install.
I have downloaded the AdobeInDesignCS2402ProductsSDK.exe
And the InDesignCSAndInCopyCSSDK-3.exe
But I don't see the drop down menu called Plug-Ins or DevTools That is referenced in the ww-plugins.pdf.

What am I missing?

Hi John,
Glad to hear you found the SDK. Just in case anyone else is seeing the same thing, the SDK list found on the ID CS2 Products SDK page(http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/indesign/sdk/index.html) lists the latest update then a full installer. The CS2 4.0.3 SDK update (Still compatible with 4.0.4) is listed first. Go one down to get the full installer for CS2 4.0.2 then apply the update to that. If for some reason you need the CS2 4.0 version, that is listed at the top of the Archived SDKs as a full installer.

Happy coding,

Art

I resolved the problem. The SDK is included with the InDesign CS2 Debug version.
