Question

Image prints pink

I'm working with an old file that someone else built, and have come across an issue I've not seen before.

The page in question has an image placed which is a B&W bitmap image that is embedded into a pdf (not my decision...). It's a technical drawing, so white background with black line art on it. If I print the pdf file from either Illustrator or Acrobat, it prints fine. But if I print the page (or the whole document) in InDesign it prints with the background as black and the line art as pink.

Any ideas as to what's going on here?

It's best to print from a PDF rather than from InDesign. If you're using a desktop printer select High Quality Print from the Acrobat PDF presets, this allows the printer's software to do the conversion from RGB to CMYK (or CMYK+)
