Indd - Thai language wrong hyphenation

Since  the update of InDeisgn we have big trouble with hyphenation in Thai language. Before the update everything was ok but now hyphenation is wrong.

We tried the 4 different paragraph style options for Composer but none of them works.

What can I do to solve that problem ?

I just got an automated email from indesign.uservoice.com telling me that the 15.0.2 release has a bugfix for this issue! I'm elbow-deep in coronavirus handouts in ten languages (none of which are Thai... or Lao, or Burmese, or Cambodian) or I'd go test it myself. Let us know how well it works!

Hi,

Can you confirm the versions you updated from and updated to? on which operating system?

We are in InDesign 15.0 or 15.01 (before was the 2019 version, we have automatic update) and some of us on Mac os Mojave and some of us on Windows pro 10 (1909)

The one response to this posting seems to indicate that maybe your Thai translator is not the only person who noticed that Thai support is worse in 2020 than it was in 2019. I mean, most of the "New in InDesign" stuff I've seen for 2020 mentions improved support for languages like Thai.

I would suggest that you file a support case, and that you (like the lone poster in that thread) roll back to 2019 until this gets resolved. I couldn't get Thai to break correctly in any circumstances whatever in 2020.

Hello. I am jumping in on this thread. I layout a magazine from English to Thai for 12 years now.

Since the update, our Thai reviewer has also pointed out over 1300 incorrect breaks!

I was thrilled to actually see a Thai language in the dropdown. I adjusted all my paragraph styles to reflect the new Thai language. However, the Thai reviewer is still seeing horrible breaks.

I see reverting back to 2019 may be the solition for now? Is there a way to revert if all of us designers are using the automatic Creative Cloud updates?
