InDesign CS5.5 won't open

I was working in InDesign CS5.5 and it shut down unexpectedly. I haven't been able to open it since, I have even tried to uninstall and then install the software again. I have no problems when I have downloaded the trial version of the InDesign CC2018. How can I make it work again?

    Hi Marie,

sorry to say, but you are on an OS version that does not support InDesign CS 5.5. I guess it was pure luck that you were able to operate CS 5.5 on that machine before the shut down.

    What is your OS version?

Could you backup your machine and restore to a previous version where CS 5.5 was still running?

    Regards,
    Uwe

    Hi Uwe,

I have MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2.

So you're saying that when I updated to that version I could no longer run InDesign CS5.5? I still have no problem running Photoshop and Illustrator CS5.1.

InDesign is not Photoshop nor is it Illustrator.

You can either roll your operating system back or move to Creative Cloud. The only other choice you have is to explore alternative applications.
