Indesign – Deepl.app

Hello everybody.

 

Today I've been working with the Deepl-Mac-App and installed it (without an account). The short-cut function is very convenient: You select one or more words, execute the short-cut "Command-CC", the app opens, you select the language and can replace the text in the selected language via "Paste in".

 

Works for all Office apps, TextEdit, Apple Preview and also in Illustrator (25.4.1). Unfortunately, and hence the post, it does not work with InDesign (16.3.2). The deepl support team said: It is possible that InDesign blocks short cuts for other apps.

 

Has anyone of you made similar experiences or a has a solution?

It's possible you might need to reassign the KBSC for copy 

You can go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts and reassign the Copy command in InDesign.

 

See if that fixes it.

I tried both: Changing the KBSC in InDesign and in Deepl without reaction.
