Hi, I'm typing in a text box and when I do a hard return either the text goes away or I get the red box icon at the box right of the box.  The text box is large and have plenty of room but I can't make the list in the box and it's driving me crazy.

The enter/return key on the numeric keypad is actually a column/frame break. Make sure you’re not using that or that the normal key is not mapped to do that.

Bob's comment may be the reason this is happening. Or you have an inherent secondary/paragraph leading that exceeds your text box's depth.

Or paragraphs have been set to always start in a new frame/column.

    Hi Carole,

Here's a very good article explaining what Bob said: https://creativepro.com/a-tale-of-two-enter-keys/. Hope that answers your query.
