Question

Page size percentage (display)

In Indesign there used to be a possibility to choose a percentage for the page size in a dropdown menu, somewhere on the top left. Where did it go? The only possibility now is (via the keyboard): 'command + 1' or 'command + 0'.

Who can help me?

That's "View size" you should be looking for, not "page size". ("Page size" generally means the actual physical print size.)

Did you only recently update your InDesign to a CC version? Somewhere a couple of versions ago it was decided that this

was so inconveniently placed that it should better be moved near the bottom left of the window:

I did indeed update to the latest version a short while ago.

Thanks.

You cannot insert the size of a page in %. How should it work? THese sizes are always physical legths. But you can overwrite any field in InDesign and overwrite it with something like 140% or *1,4 or /0,7 (or. instead of ,). InDesign will do the maths.

Hallo Willi Adelberger,

Thank you for your reply.

I just found more information on the Adobe site under 'View the workspace in Indesign':

Zoom in or out

  • To set a specific magnification level, type or choose a level in the Zoom Level box in the application bar.

I just discovered on the bottom left the possibility to choose a percentage: 5%, 12,5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, etc.

It is also possible to type for example 65% in this box.
