Hi there,

I've got a problem with Italic version of Raleway Google font in Cyrillic. It seems that Google provide italic but when I choose that in my text the contents disappear. Could you please help me?

Hi simone_d,

in my Firefox browser on Windows 10 I cannot see the italic version of your cyrillic word ЦВЕТНЫМ:

The same with InDesign:

Note: I changed the preview font with the Story Editor to Arial so I can see the Cyrillic text.

So yes, this is no InDesign issue; it's a font file issue.

Contact Google. It's a font problem, not an InDesign bug.

If you enter some Cyrillic text in the Preview field on https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Raleway, you will see that indeed none of the italic styles contain Cyrillic glyphs. That said– really, Google? Not even a "missing glyph" rectangle?

You get what you pay for, apparently.

That's a really nice font. I've used it for a few websites.

Open the glyph panel and make sure the characters you want exist for it.

Can you confirm the version of the software and your operating system?

Can you describe how you got the font, where it is saved, the file format...

Do you use a font management software?

Does it work in other applications?
