Trial version limits

Are you limited with use of tools and options with the 7 day free trial version...I'm finding allot of things that wont work...

To adjust it manually, (using the mouse and handles), first double-click the image.

Or, if you just want to fit the image to the frame, choose Object > Fitting > Fit Content Proportionally.

Seeing as you referred to "set limits," I'll assume you drew out a frame first and then placed an image in it. That's fine, but just so you're ware, you could also just place an image without setting a frame beforehand. When you do that, the image get's a same-size frame automatically, and you can size/re-size as follows:

Selection tool (black arrow) click to select; adjusts the frame independently of the image
Direct Select tool (white arrow, or double-click with black arrow); adjusts the image independently of the frame
Selection tool (black arrow) click to select; hold down Cmd/Ctrl; adjusts the frame and image together

Your trial is the full version. The only difference is that it will time out if you don't subscribe during the trial period. You may be finding things that don't work, or perhaps they don't work as you'd expect.
