Question

Unable to turn on Hyphenation in InDesign once it is turned off.

Absatzformatoptionen/Silbentrennung

After weeks of frustration, it seems like my problem disappeared. I can not explain. If the problem returns i will take screenshots.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you can not turn on hyphenation once it is turned off. Let us make it right for you. Would you mind sharing a few more details for a better understanding of the issue? For example:

  • Few screenshots of the issue. When you say it "it can not be activated" does that mean that the option is grayed out?
  • OS (exact version of Windows/MAC)
  • Version of InDesign
  • Have you tried checking the same thing on a new document?
  • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, can you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the download link.

Regards,

Srishti

Hi, sorry the translator doesn't translate your message in English properly.

I would recommend that you are looking for an Adobe forum in your local language.

Also, please always include the version of InDesign and the Operating system you are using.

Consider adding screenshots to your query to help us understand your issue better.
