Update 10/16/2023 - Midday - Central Time (US)

The issue has been traced to a server issue on our end and is not a failure of the Lightroom Classic update itself.  This issue has been rectified.

This means that the previous recommendation for this issue is to perform a clean reinstall of 13.0.1, is still the correct resolution as you may have residual files from previous attempts to install present on your system.

There is no additional update (i.e., waiting for 13.0.2) that is necessary to corr

Interesting and quite strange, but I rolled back to 13.0. and it now works again. Thanks for the replies. I'll just wait to see what happens next.

Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting, and then reinstalling?

I rolled back to 13.0, the easiset and safest way to fix this issue. Now I wait for Adobe to come out with a new version where this issue is fixed, They should probably also remove 13.01 for Mac as so many people are having seriuos problems with this version.

Just to add to the gathered data: I´ve had the same problem as everybody else, LR crashed immediately after updating (coming from the the latest version 12 though).

Tried de-installing and installing twice. First time failed, second time everything works. No restarts in between installs.

Via CC app. Select "all applications" on the left side, click the three dots on the right of the LRC app, select deinstall from the drop down menu. After that install again, the app lets you decide which version (also via drop down IIRC)

I am running MacOS Sonoma.  Installed the update 13.01 that was supposed to have critical fixes and it will not launch.  Had to uninstall 13.01 and install version 13.  Your mileage may vary.

It happened on my iMac with M1-chip too. Couldn't start LR Classic. Reinstalled it as mentioned, and now it's sailing again. Thanks.

I had stated earlier. I have two Macs. 2019 iMac Intel and 2020 MacBook Air M1. The iMac failed but the MacBook Air was just fine. Here are the differences.

My iMac is used every day. I do tons of masking, particularly with my B&W work.

My MacBook Air is for travel. The last time it got any extensice usage was in March. I created a catalogue based on my trip. When I got home I copied that catalogue to the external drive (to where the files were stored) and imporated  into the iMac catalogue. I then deleted the travel catalogue off the MacBook Air. Since March I've only opened it to install updates. When I installed LrC 13.0.1 the main catalogue only had 3 files.

Interesting. I was able to get 13.0.1 to work on my system without even an uninstall now.

So the procedure was...

1. update to v13.0.1 - crash
2. roll back to v13.0 - works
3. update to v13.0.1 again - works

Weird, but okay.

My "fix" was to just roll back to stable & fast v12.5, I'll let v13 mature a little longer rather than another clean reinstall. Never once had an issue like this with Lightroom before. I've heard from a few friends that Lr 13 is noticeably slower in general than 12.5 as well, so I'm holding off for now.

good evening everyone, I have a problem with the Lightroom Classic update from version 12.5 to 13.01 which gives me:
Error code 107: The download is corrupted
Error code 107 indicates that one of the installation files is missing or damaged.

SOLUTION
Select Retry to download and install the app again.

I'll try again but nothing goes on what can I do? Thank you

Hi Rikk Flohr

So, if  I understand correctly, anyone who hasn't installed LR 13.0.1 and still has version 13.0 can now update to version 13.0.1 without any problems?
I still have OS Ventura 13.5.2.
Thank you
