P: Arrow keys no longer advance to next photo in filmstrip in Develop

When I use "+" key to go up on the exposure slider it stops my arrow keys from being able to move left and right on the film strip. If I press "+" it does its job and makes the slider go up but it makes it so I can't go left and right using the film strip. However, if I press "-" it works fine and I can still select the next and previous images with the arrow keys.

I've gone back to 13.4 and it works fine so it's clearly the update is the problem.

On my pc, + disables the arrows, - turns them back on 🤣

adobe has logged this as a bug, they're on it - hope they get to it fast, I feel handcuffed culling without my arrows

I don't know why, but my arrows stop working everytime I press the "+"or "-" keys to ajust exposure on my lightroom. It start working again if I restart the program. I use it to go through the photos, and it mess with my workflow, not being able to use fully the arrows and + - keys.

I already restart the computer (macmini)...

Obrigado.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Just curious - last night by accident i leanred thag hitting - (decreasing exposure) makes my arrow keys work again

+ makes arrow keys fail

This might be a "workaround" but this needs fixing FAST. It's halting workflows on large projects. Rolling back is currently the most viable workaround.

@JBedfordPhoto: "in the Develop Module shortcuts, the behavior was already re-written to include the CTRL key to the action that was previously devoid of using that particular modifier."

Archeological digging in old versions shows that as early as LR 4, the Go To Next/Previous Photo commands were bound to Cmd/Ctrl Right/Left Arrow, and that's what was displayed in Help > Library Module Shortcuts.

However, the Adobe reference manual (Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC Help) was still showing plain Right/Left Arrow as late as LR 8 (the last version for which Adobe produced PDFs). The current online help shows Cmd/Ctrl Right/Left Arrow.

I'm guessing Adobe changed the documented commands to use Cmd/Ctrl because there were controls in the UI, such as Develop sliders, that when activated with the mouse, grabbed input focus, thus preventing the use of plain Right/Left Arrow.  (That behavior still occurs today on Windows.) Rather than change those controls or explain why Right/Left didn't always work, Adobe introduced the new Cmd/Ctrl shortcuts as the documented shortcuts. But Adobe didn't disable the use of Right/Left Arrow.

However, many (most?) users still use plain Right/Left Arrow, since that's used in most other apps. (I typically use Right/Left myself, until the input focus gets grabbed by another control, when I then use Cmd/Ctrl.)  This thread has complaints from several users doing high-volume editing using keystrokes, and they object to the extra effort to press Cmd/Ctrl.

I noticed this too...Maybe I'm missing something here, but in the Develop Module shortcuts, the behavior was already re-written to include the CTRL key to the action that was previously devoid of using that particular modifier.
