P: Automatically checking Treatment & Profile box when i check some of color adjustments box

While in develop mode i try to synchronize some of the settings and i find that when i check some of color adjustments box, Lightroom 7.3.1 check the Treatment & Profile box.
This is a problem when i have photos taken with different lenses and i have profiles for each of this lenses. And i don't want to sync the profile only color adjustments.
EDIT: I have color profiles for specific lenses (i don't mean the lens profiles)

The profiles that get synched by 'Treatment & Profile' when you sync color adjustments are not lens profiles, but the raw-profile at the top of the Basic block..

Martin, I agree this behavior is not desirable. Another bad side effect is that, depending on the profile of the current photo, the preset may not be visible when you select a non-raw (e.g. a JPEG), due to another unfortunate design decision:

You can workaround this problem behavior by manually editing the preset to remove the included profile. In the Presets panel, right-click the preset and do Show In Finder / Explorer. Edit the preset's .xmp file in your favorite text editor (e.g. TextEdit or Notepad) and remove this line if it is present:

   crs:CameraProfile="profile"

Remove these two lines and all the lines between them if they are present:

   <crs:Look>      
    ... 
   </crs:Look>

Restart LR.

This isn't solution for my problem. I don't have presets with profile specified for my combinations of camera and lenses. I adjust photos individualy for every photo session. But thank you for information how can i edit presets. I didn't know that.

Very sorry, I got confused. I immediately jumped to the workaround, which is to create a preset and then apply the preset. Pretty inconvenient, though.

Hi since 7.2 if you create a preset from a RAW image you cannot apply it to a JPG. It simply disappears from the list.
I found what is affecting it. It's the "TREATMENT & PROFILE".
The problem is that if you untick this box you cannot tick the "color/saturation/vibrance" box as it automatically ticks the "treatment&profile" box... so it's impossible in the newer versions to create a preset on a raw image and have it apply to JPG too.
This is very problematic as you can't create presets without adding the color component to it.
Note that it has never been a problem before, presets could be applied to RAW and JPG equally.
Could you please update on this issue?

Adding one more remark: DNGs act the same way as JPGs. The presets don't show up on the DNGs.

I just released the free Fix Presets plugin that corrects this problem by removing the treatment and profile settings from one or more selected presets.

The plugin also provides workarounds for a number of other develop preset issues.

Lightroom Classic CC 7.5 was released today and should address this issue. If you don’t see the update in your Creative Cloud App, hit the [Ctrl/Cmd]+ [Alt/Opt]+[R] to force a refresh.

Give the new version a try and let us know if it solves the issue.

I have Lightroom Classic CC 7.5. I created a Preset from a RAW photo... and it's not showing up on my JPG in the user presets but the preset is showing up on the RAW photo. I even tried importing it as well... still doesn't show up. I closed out the software and started again... still nothing.

Please copy/paste the contents of the preset's .xmp file here. In the Presets panel, right-click the preset and do Show In Finder / Explorer. Edit the .xmp file in a text editor (e.g. Notepad or TextEdit) and copy/paste its contents.

One other thing... this preset was originally created using Adobe Lightroom CC 2018... the newest version.

Before I do this... do the contents in this file reveal anything of importance about my computer, adobe account, etc.? I see a UUID number, which as a coder... can mean a lot of different things... not sure what Adobe is using it for.

Nothing particular about your computer will be revealed by the contents of a preset. Presets are safely shared and downloaded all the time.

also, on another note... is there a way to have it so Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic - syncs up with the cloud? ie. the images I work on upload to Adobe cloud like how Lightroom CC 2018 does? I noticed 2 images I first started with using Lightroom CC showed up on Classic and seemed to be synced with Lightroom CC and the cloud... but any new images I start with Classic do not.
