P: Delay after selecting Export

Hey All:

Been doing a ton of research and coming up empty handed, when I am exporting a photo (yes even a single photo) I click on the export button and there is a few second delay before lightroom takes action, its annoying for sure and on my four year old Mac I didnt have the issue.

Brand new Macbook Pro - M2 Max processor - 32 gig of memory - Mac OS Ventura 13.2 - 994 gig available on primary HD - photos are located on NVM drive (2361 meg write speed 2612 read speed with 143 gig available on that drive).

Preferences: Use GPU for export is on - Camera Raw Cache is set to 40 gig (are there other performance settings?).

Lightroom classic 12.1 release - all updates applied.

No changes. Updated and it takes 30 seconds before the export stats when using watermarks. 🙎

I can concure that the problem still exists in LrC 12.1 on macOS Ventura 12.1 (running on a MacStudio Ultra, 64Gb memory).
It takes around 5sec after clicking the Export button before there is export activity

Is this a text watermark that has Shadow enabled?  If show, uncheck Shadow -- does the problem still occur?  If not, then that's a possible workaround until Adobe fixes the bug.

The status at the bottom of the first post indicates that Adobe has acknowledged this bug, which means it is being tracked in the internal system.  They rarely say when they expect a bug to be fixed, and any updates from them will appear here.

@johnrellis I also tried deleting the com.adobe.LightroomClassicCC7.plist file. That didn't work either. 😞 

@johnrellis I deleted the watermark in LR and created a new one, unfortunately that didn't work. I also tried deleting and recreating the User Preset in LR, but that didn't work either.  LR hangs w/ pinwheel of death after clicking the Export button. Anything else I can try? Adobe know about and is working on this issue?

@maiakphotos You could try editing the PNG and saving it as a new PNG, then creating a brand new preset. That has helped work around other problems, and it may not help here, but it's worth a try.

@johnrellis the watermark is a PNG image.
