I'm having this issue after upgrading to 24.4.1 with Lightroom 12.3 on Windows 10.  The taskbar tab turns orange, but I have to click on it to get Photoshop to come forward.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks,

David

Here is the video file of what is happening... Oops, Support Community will only accept a URL as a video type to upload, I have the video on my desktop and it will not accept that.

I have tried to upload a video and it will only accept a URL for a video, so I cannot upload the file to this forum.

24.4.0 - I don’t see a new version ready for upload but usually update the minute they come out.

That's likely your problem then. There are 2 newer versions that what you have, unfortunately you are not up to date. There's a 24.5 and a 24.6.

I look forward to updating then. I don't see any newer versions and my cloud is always active. Wonder why... I'll just be patient, the latest versions of everything else, I have the entire Adobe Suite, have been coming through regularly.

Ah Yes! Happy Day, and thanks for checking up on me. For some reason my Photoshop became 'uninstalled' I mean it worked but there were no more updates working since two updates ago. I have no idea how that happend but is why I never got a new update. Re-installed now with latest update and it works! Finally, like old times and going correctly. Thank You!

But now, just a few days later after installing the new version of Photoshop, the behavior is back to not opening from Lightroom when I choose 'open in...' I have no idea how to fix this now. I'm still reporting it as a bug as it still hangs and even though the document opens in Photoshop, the program does not switch from Lightroom to Photoshop like it used to in the past.
