P: (French/German/Spanish) Masks panel scaling issue

The mask panel doesn't scale correctly with LRc 12.5: all the right values are hidden.

Bug appears when French language is selected. English language seems unaffected.

Hello,

When using masking with linear progression the setup for masking is not shown correctly, textboxes for values are always hidden. You have to extend the right container until textboxes are visible. When making the container smaller fields will be hidden again. Seems to be a padding or docking problem. Also to get the right point for expanding the container, so getting the grip with the mouse is tricky, the area seems to be too small when the grip appears

These is a very unhandy behaviours making it very uncomfortable to work with LR.

I have this problem with my desktop as well as with my surface 8 pro

This might be a bug related to language.

To build on GoldingD's reply, your screenshots show you are running LR in German, and it is one of the languages that has this bug.  See here for a number of workarounds while waiting for Adobe to fix it:

Since the new LRC version (12.5), the side area of the masks in the development module is cut off or no longer scaled.

He desinstalado e instalado LR classic v 12.5 varias veces

Saludos.

Marta

I didn't found it earlier!

Gracias!!

Firstly, I updated to the 12.5 version to instant dissapointment when I clicked on the masking tool and discovered all the sliders values and the rest of that development column out of the frame to its right... Got back to 12.4 version and everything is fine.

1.png

Also, in both software versions images couldn't be exported, getting a message saying "the watermark has failed"...

2.png

I've been able to fix the bug with the development module by uninstalling 12.5 version and getting back to 12.4, but can't get any of my images watermarked with any version and this is the 2nd time it has happened to me withinh the last year with the last 3 versions, not being able to export images as I'd like during several months... Am I going to get a refund from Adobe beacause of this? I'm getting quite frustrated now.

What blows my mind the most is that last week, with the exact same 12.4 version I was able to export images with my watermark without any issues and nothing is changed in my system since then!!!

By the way, I'm using the Apple M2 Max chip with the 13.5.2 version.

Same happens to me in Spanish and the solution that Adobe gives is: swap left to right or change language. Man... All the money we pay and they cannot release a simple patch to solve this issue that is clearly affecting several of its clients. Unbelievable...

This bug was introduced in French, German, and Spanish in 12.5. See here for workarounds:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-french-german-spanish-masks-panel-scaling-is...

I think there's a good chance it will be fixed in the next release of LR, which likely will come out around the time of Adobe Max mid-October.

Hi,

when I try to zoom in/out the panels on the right and left side, it works fine, but when I'm in the masks, the right side of the info is cut off.

Does anyone have the same problem or an idea why this is so?

Thank you!

Adobe has acknowledged this bug in LR 12.5. See here for several workarounds:

Let's hope it will be fixed in LR 13, which we might expect to see in a couple weeks.
