P: (French/German/Spanish) Masks panel scaling issue

The mask panel doesn't scale correctly with LRc 12.5: all the right values are hidden.

Bug appears when French language is selected. English language seems unaffected.

Hello there,

Just updated to 12.5. And witnessed a new display bug.

The width of the right column is perfectly responsive while tweaking the basic settings or using a removal tool.

But then becomes not responsive when a mask is being created.

Leading to some values not being displayed, unless I make the column very wide...

Maybe it's due to my dual monitor setup (2 different pixel pitches).

But anyway it's very annoying and didn't use to be this way.

Any fix possible? Or do we have to wait for another update?

Well basically merging the topics brought me a workaround.

I selected English and it's working fine. Thanks!

(Even though it doesn't fix anything, but it's ok)

Hi, I just updated Lightroom Classic to version 12.5 and as soon as I did, the value settings sliders didn't show up. 
In Mask tool no values in HUE, COLOR, CURVES, EFECTS, DETAIL, etc. 
Anyone with this?

I tested all languages, on Mac and Windows, and problems occur with French, German, and Spanish. The numbers at the right ends of the sliders in the Masks panel are cut off (entirely in French and Spanish, partially in German).

It appears this is caused by the attempted fix for the very thin right-column scrollbars. This line in the affected languages' TranslatedStrings in LR 12.4:

"$$$/locale_metric/GrainInfo/Width=21"

was changed to this in 12.5:

"$$$/locale_metric/GrainInfo/Width=30"

Some workarounds:

1. On Windows (but not Mac), make the right column wider by dragging the divider.

2. On Mac and Windows, set the option Preferences > Interface > Swap Only Develop Left And Right Panel Groups. Then make the left column wider.

3. Roll back to LR 12.4.

4. Run LR in English or one of the other languages that doesn't have the bug.

5. Edit this line in the language's TranslatedStrings file:

"$$$/locale_metric/GrainInfo/Width=30"

and change 30 to 21 (the value used in LR 12.4). See here for how to edit TranslatedStrings.

This might make the right-column scrollbar too narrow to be usable (it doesn't in my Mac LR).

En el módulo Revelar, el campo de los valores numéricos del panel de ajustes de máscara no se visualizan, quedan ocultos. El resto de paneles, como por ejemplo, el Básico, no presenta problemas. Me ocurre dede la última reciente actualización aplicada. ¿Alguna solución?

Same problem here, since upgrade to LrC 12.5 (are there tests done before sending the upgrade? This is an obvious bug!). 

Config : iMac 27" 5K mid-2019 Core i9/40 GB RAM/AMD Radeon Vega 48/macOS Monterey 12.6.8/LrC 12.5 French

Thank you @johnrellis for the trick to repair this bug... I took the opportunity to correct another translation error : "Reading preferences..." is translated in "Préférences de lecture..." which is a misinterpretation ; the correct translation is "Lecture des préférences..."

After installing the latest Lightroom update (12.5) the sliders on the Mask Panel are not fully displayed. The right side of the sliders is truncated. I read some of the posts here and can confirm that the sliders are correctly displayed when I change the language to English. Can you please fix this issue for Languge = German?

Updating the TranslatedStrings file with LRc 12.4's previous values works well.

After updating from 12.4 to 12.5 and activating masks, the right part of the panel is not visible. You can draw it bigger to get it back, but at next start same problem. See attched screenshot.

Other people report the same problem in various other communities.

Hi! I just updated Lightroom on my computer and the side menu for the filters goes offscreen and I can't seem to find a solution for it to go back to normal. (This only happens with the filters menu bar, the regular adjustments bar has no problems fitting the screen)
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi there,

I'm using LRC in French, German and English depending in which language I'm teaching. I've noticed a bug in LRC 12.5 (Build 202308091523) on Mac (MacBook Pro 16" 2023, Apple M2 Pro chip):

When I open the Mask panel in English, there is no problem at all

The numbers next to the sliders are getting dangerously closer to the border but are still visible when I switch to German:

However they will completely disappear when I switch to French:

The other panels are unaffected, no matter the language:

Any idea? I didn't notice it in previous versions. LRC has been updated 5 days ago for the last time.
