P: Fullscreen with Menu Bar not working correctly with multiple monitors

1. Version 13.5.1, Camera Raw 16.5, Build [202408271704-d15d09cd]

2. MacOS 14.6.1

3:

  • Have main monitor in Fullscreen with Menu Bar mode. Secondary display is active, in Full Screen.
  • On primary display, change from Library to Develop module.
  • The main library window will jump from the primary display onto the secondary display.
  • This also happens when switching the other way around, or when changing from Loupe to Grid, for example.
  • Sometimes I have a third display attached, and when I do the main window sometimes jumps to the tirtiary display instead of the secondary.

4. Basically, display handling has gone bonkers. I can no longer use Lightroom Classic in Fullscreen with Menu Bar mode, or the screens jump around whenever I switch views.

Yes, there are several threads that report broken secondary display behavior. I see this too, but I haven't checked if using another view than full screen with menubar changes this.

I have the same symptoms as @calie mae. This appeared with the switch from LrC 13.4 to 13.5.1, so it's new/different from past bugs related to secondary display.

This bug becomes harder to troubleshoot due to Secondary display takes keyboard focus, disabling some keyboard shortcuts, so keep that in mind.

It does not happen in "Window > Screen Mode > Normal". It does happen in "Window > Screen Mode > Full Screen" and, as noted in the original post, "Window > Screen Mode > Full Screen with Menubar".

It does not happen when GPU acceleration is disabled. But GPU acceleration is required to render HDR images, and rendering HDR images is the big improvement in 13.5 over 13.4.

My System Info is similar to the original post:
