In LR5 when I go to use one of the 5 zone adjustment areas in the Develop module histogram, there is a 2 - 2.5 second delay before I can use them for each image. The individual sliders below, e.g., exposure, contrast, etc, don't exhibit the delay. This is not the case with LR4.4... and it is a cause of frustration for me due to the slowdown in my wedding workflow. I'm on a Mac Quad Core, 12 GB, SSD, etc, so I'm not sure what the problem is, as I said there's no problem with 4.4. I searched but did not see this problem listed. Also, LR 5.2RC does not fix the problem.

Mac Quad Core 16 GB SSD. 10.8.4 No delay here. Move is nearly instant from one region to the next.

I suggest you rebuild your preference file. http://www.lightroomforums.net/showth...

That didn't work. Victoria seems to think it is because Histogram processing has been demoted in favor of Develop slider performance. You most see it when you are moving quickly from one image to the next and making quick exposure adjustments using the Histogram. Here is Victoria's response from DWF...

"The order of processing while loading has been switched around to make Develop loading time and the Basic sliders available quicker. It looks like the Histogram's been moved to later in the chain - I can replicate it. You could report it at the Official Feature Request/Bug Report Forum if it's bugging you. Whether it gets changed will probably depend on how many people consider it an issue though, as most people appear to use the Basic sliders."
