P: (Win-only) Crash on Enhance (Bucket ID: 9835497)

As the title says: 

- I choose Enhance...

- The dialog loads then the preview spinner stops after about a second

- LRC freezes

- SSD use shoots up to 100%, it cripples the whole PC, even the Task Manager becomes non-responsive

- CPU / GPU close to 0% use, SSD write fluctuates between 10-12MB up to 500MB/s, but mostly in low-tens, read speed is marginal

- After several minutes (!) with my non-responsive PC I get a crash report with the below reason:

PC is fairly powerful, 14-core i5 (13600k), RTX 3070 with the latest Studio Driver, 64 GB RAM. Performance profile maxed out. Outside of this issue, Lightroom runs fairly well (by Lightroom Classic standards that is...)

 

There seems to be no consistency on which file this is produced. I normally shoot sequences of the same scene, and one image works okay, the other one brings Lightroom to its knees. But if I hit a "poison file", Lightroom produces the issue consistently. So I'm stuck with non-denoisable images. 🙂

 

If there's anyone who encountered this and was able to resolve, let me know. Thanks!

I forgot to add this: 

- I have LRC installed on my C: drive

- I have my catalog on a dedicated SSD, my G: drive

- The images are also on this G: drive

- That dedicated SSD is also used as Adobe Camera RAW cache drive

- Despite all that the use of C: drive shoots up, not G:

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I reported this with a fairly detailed response. I just wonder if there's a workaround because I can't deliver some client photos the way I want them. Yesterday this whole thing lead to filling up my primary C: drive, I guess with garbage, because I eventually ran out of space, then a few restarts later 50G of space freed up. I'm pretty positive this is a bug, just hoped for a temporary workaround until (if at all) this gets fixed.

I've been up-sizing some of my old RAW files via Super Resolution, but it's crashing LRCC and I think I know why - or at least I've noticed a particular file type that keeps causing the crash; 

 

Since I've been attempting to up-res my sRAW files from my Canon 5D III, the super-resolution window freezes, then crashes LRCC. This doesn't appear to be the case with full RAW images from the same camera.

The denoise feature stopped working, triggereing the Adobe Crash Reporter Service to saturate my NMVE drive for a while, and finally crashing LrC.

 

I updated my video drivers, but i still face the same issue, really looking for ideas to get Denoise running again.

お世話になります。2024-8月にLCRをアップデートしました。アップデート前にはDxO PureRAW3でノイズ処理した後の画像に対して、「強化」を実行できましたが、今後のアップデートは「強化」のDxO PureRAW3 実行前の画像では「強化」は使用できます。対応策を教えてください。

 

Thank you for your help. LCR updated in August 2024. Before the update, it was possible to perform "enhancement" on images that had undergone noise processing using DxO PureRAW3, but after the update, the program stopped running during the "enhancement" process and the system crashed. "Enhance" can be used on images before running DxO PureRAW3. Please tell me what to do.
