Adjustment brush in Version 9.3 Not working correctly

When using the adjustment brush in Lightroom Classic Version 9.3 the brush appears to disappear when it is near the center of the image. Move the brush away from the center and it reapppears and works correctly. In the center "dead circle" the circular brush tool reverts to an arrow when it does not work. It appears to happen in the center of the work area, not just the center of the image. If I zoom in and have a corner of the image in the center of the screen, the brush "disappears" when it moves to the center of the screen, edge of the image and reappears as a brush as it moves away from the center. Attached images show how the brush becomes a pointer as it moves to the center of the screen and stops working as a brush.

UPDATE: This applies to all tools, not just the adjustment brush. There is now a dead center spot inside the work area where nothing seems to work.

David,

The problem was resolved by simply resetting preferences on a restart. Not sure what caused it but it now works perfectly. Thanks for the help and ionterest.

1. Looking at your exemplars, I cannot see any cursor

2. What happens if you do not select all the photos in the filmstrip, just select one.

3. If the pin for a adjustment brush is outside the area you are zoomed into, and not previously selected, you will not be able to see the pin, not able to select.

4. If the adjustment brush mask does not occupy space in the area you zoomed into, you will not see it.

5. Press O to see the mask.

So people don't have to download the image you have attached to your post please Edit your post to remove the Attached screen shot and Include it in the body of the text of your post.

You do that by Clicking the "More..." link at the bottom of your post, Selecting "Edit Message" and then use the "Insert Photos" icon in the tool bar at the top of the Post/Reply/Edit dialog box like this.

Thank you.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

If Lightroom doesn't start correctly the please see "Solution 2" in the document behind the second link.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

Axel,

Thanks for the input. I already had GPU Acceleration turned off. The second suggestion of restarting and resetting preferences worked a charm. Thanks for the help.
