adobe_licutil.exe

Hello

When I start Win 10 latest iteration Fall Creators with Lightroom CC Classic installed as a trial, I get a Windows Defender message that adobe_licutil.exe has been blocked from making changes.

I do have Lightroom 6 standalone, but this message has only appeared after instaling the trial. Lightroom CCC seems to be working properly.

Lightroom CC got an update today which Defender blocked.

Add C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\HDBox\Setup.exe following the instructions above to fix it.

Use the Windows Defender Security app to allow specific apps

    1. Open the Windows Defender Security Center by clicking the shield icon in the task bar or searching the start menu for Defender.
    2. Click the Virus & threat protection tile (or the shield icon on the left menu bar) and then the Virus & threat protection settings label
    3. Under the Controlled folder access section, click Allow an app through Controlled folder access
    4. Click Add an allowed app and follow the prompts to add apps.

    Add these:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\LWA\adobe_licutil.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\P6\adobe_licutil.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\P7\adobe_licutil.exe
