Since the latest update, 14.4, I am experiencing pauses in Lightroom whenever I browse images in the strip of the develop module. Simply put, when I skip images with the direction arrows to the right, the main viewport (with the current image) does not update itself sometimes as I scroll. This happens randomly but frequently. It will take around 4-5 seconds until the main viewport updates itself with the actual current image.

Hi, thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry about the trouble! Could you help us with a bit more info?
How big is the catalog that you're working on? Where are the originals saved? When did you start experiencing this behavior?
You can start by trying to optimize the preferences of Lightroom Classic to check if that makes a difference. You can check more about it here: https://adobe.ly/43ZrCN3
Thanks,
Nikunj

Hi! Thanks for replying.
The catalogue is 8.97 GB in size. I optimzed it too, with no change.
The originals are saved on my SSD drive, on the desktop.
It started right now after I updated to Lightroom Classic 14.4.
I did optimmize everything, and still the same result. Im on a Fast source (ssd), with tons of Ram (48Gb) and lots of free space on the ssd drive too.
I would like to add one thing which may or may not be important: I de-noised all the images im currently working on (1226 of them) within the develop module (which is new in this last version, used to be you could do it in the libary). The de-noising, which took forever, was completed yesterday, so its not currently active.

Did as you instructed. Slowdown is still there.
Could it be the applied noise reduction to all images?

Have you tried browse through a batch of images that haven't been denoised?

After running several tests, I can confirm that this problem only happens when scrolling through denoised images. Curiously, this did not happen with the previous version of Lightroom which used to batch-denoise into separate DNG files.
