After creating a subfolder in LR Classic all folders in the library are collapsed

When I create a new subfolder in LR Classic cc and hit 'Create', the subfolder is created and then LR collapses all the folders on that drive.  I believe this is something new and wonder if there is a 'preference' that I might have mistakenly changed.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Before doing what was suggested, I tried several different approaches to see if I was creating or deleting folders incorrectly.  Nothing seemed to work.  I then closed LR and reopened it.  The strange behavior disappeared.  The folder structure remains opened as before and shows the added or removed folder correctly.  Sometimes the easiest answer works.
Restart Lightroom.

Thanks for all the help.

That definitely doesn't sound like normal behavior.

Try resetting LR's preferences:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

If resetting doesn't help, make a full-resolution screen recording of the misbehavior and attach it to your reply here. That could give clues as to what's going wrong.
