after latest update, Lightroom (cc and classic) cannot be opened anymore, crashes everytime

hello, do anybody experience the same as me? last week there was an update and after the installation the program (lightroom cc and lightroom classic) can no longer be opened successfully. it crashes everytime and I have sent crash report everytime.

I also have the same issue after updating. The previous version worked fine, I'm reverting to the previous version now. I'll update after it's done.

By the way, resetting my preferences (as suggested above) did not work.

UPDATE: I reverted to the previous version (8.1) which worked fine when last used, and now that crashes every time as well. I have reset my preferences, still no luck.

UPDATE 2: After several restarts, it seems to be working as normal. I'm still not at the current version, I'm on 8.1.

I'm having the same problem, had to install lightroom 8.1 for it to work, hope they fix 8.2, I want to try out the new features!
