Suddenly the ai noise reduction in lightroom classic does not work, what is wrong?
Finally some useful info. That sounds like Lightroom might not have permissions to write to the folder, or perhaps the drive is almost full. Denoise creates a new file, so Lightroom needs to be able to write that file to disk. The error suggests that it can't for some reason.

Explain 'does not work'. What does (not) happen when you try? Did you select a raw file? Denoise only works on true raw files, not on jpeg/tiff/psd and also not on the different sRAW varieties.

Hi! Yes, in the middle of editing a wedding( i have edited over 1000 images) the new "Remove Noise" feature suddenly won't work... I haven't changed anything, it's still NEF raw files. I have tried uninstalling Lightroom classic and it is the latest version. Nevertheless, the problem remains.

Again: explain "won't work". That can mean anything.

Well I push the "Remove Noise" button. Then the program starts to work. But after a while it stops and a notice comes up that says "an error occurred while writing the file" (translated from swedish) and it hasn't done any noise reduction in the image

Hello Johan! The issue was that the new files were too large and it caused my external hard disk to run out of space. I appreciate your assistance, but it would be helpful if you could refrain from being rude ("Finally some useful info"). I'm trying my best to explain the situation even though I'm not completely fluent in both the language and the program.

He's not being rude. If anything, Johan showed great patience with you.
What you've done is exactly like going to see a doctor, saying "I have a problem" and then expecting a full diagnostic work-up and treatment regime on the basis of only that information.
Would you really expect a useful outcome from that scenario?
It's not about your language fluency (which seems excellent) it's about you realising that bad questions get bad answers, and it's a waste of everybody's time to have to keep chipping away until you tell us something useful.

It was a little rude. If I went to a doctor and he said, "finally some useful info" to me, I'd question his bedside manner. That said - a doctor gets paid a lot of money to not be rude. Johan is helping, so it's his prerogative to be a little rude. But call it what it is.

"an error occurred while writing the file"
You could/should have led with that statement.

What an irritating way to go about responding to someone who needs help?

Similar problem here except it won't even start as Denoise is trying to save with the same filename.
And then offers to save as .TXT
Something's wrong...

I restarted Lightroom and it started to work properly. Not sure what happened.

This discussion got a bit argumentative. Author was less than forthcoming with useful info, and thin skinned at a helpful members reply. Some members may choose to ignore this discussion.
I think you would be better served to post your own discussion.
Also, note that the discussion has been marked as solved, hence some members might not respond to it
So, yes, try your own posting
When you do, please include your GPU make/model, your GPU driver version, your amount of VRAM, your OS version, and your LrC version.
A copy of your system info via LrC/help might be useful.

What is saved when you click on 'Save' is the report in this dialog (which could be quite long if something goes wrong with a batch of images). That is why it is a text file.

I am having a somewhat similar problem. Yesterday, I was able to use the AI Denoise feature on several pics. Today, I have selected 3 pictures to denoise. It doesn't complete the process with any of them. I select a picture, click the denoise option, look at the before and after comparison, select "enhance", and wait. The little wheel spins, indicating the process is running, and after a minute or two, I get a grey screen saying "No photo selected".

I have exactly the same problem and it is becoming a frustration.
It was working for long time but unexpectedly it stopped working a few weeks ago under LRC v12. After updating LRC to v13 the issue persists. I also tried to uninstall LRC completelly but the problem persists.
There is no error message that can help tracking the issue. Is there any way to get logs from LRC that could help understanding the issue?
PS: Running on Macbook pro M2 32GB RAM and plenty of hard drive space.

Same issue for me on the same computer (2023 mbp m2 max 14 with 32gb ram). The file(s) will only show up after restarting Lightroom, and I'm not going to restart LRC everytime I want to use the AI denoise feature.

I am having the exact same problem here. There is enough space for LRC to write the file and Ive never had issues before. In fact some LR catalogs work and others dont.

I have another issue. I took a number of photos on my iPhone 14 Pro Max using the 48 MP ProRaw setting and then imported them to Lightroom as ".DNG" files. However, when I went into Lightroom I was unable to use the Denise AI to remove noise. When will Adobe make this available to iPhone photos? Also, I noticed the Shift-Double Click sets the White Point but does not when applied to setting the Black Point. Why? Many thanks!

AI Denoise only for standard (not compressed) RAW, either Bayer, or FUji X. DNG would have to be full Adobe spec (if). When will Adobe expanded use?? Not for us common users to know.
Shift-Double Clcik Black Point. should work. Try again, LrC can be pickey at your mouse clicks.
