Annoying import dialog

Explorer ,
May 16, 2023 May 16, 2023

Since the last update, lightroom always open the import dialog (every 3-4 minutes) to import files from the P drive (network drive mapped and created by pCloud).

This has never happened on previous versions.

How can I solve this ?

It's really annoying. It acts like when an SD card is plugged.....

Hey @ChristianD80, thanks for reaching out. I'll help you figure this out. What version of Lightroom Classic are you working on?

You can temporarily disable the Import dialogue from Preferences > General > Import Options > Disable 'Show import dialog when memory card is detected'

Use the above to gain stability & reconfigure the network drive to check if the issue exists.

Thanks!
Sameer K

Sounds like Pcloud is continually remounting the drive, causing LR to get notified of a "new" drive and opening the Import window. Over the years there have been a fair number of reports about similar situations (background services remapping drive letters, loose cables, etc.).

Sameer's suggestion of disabling Show Import Dialog When A Memory Card Is Detected will stop the Import window from opening. But if you want Import to open automatically when you insert an SD card, you'll have to contact Pcloud support to see why their service is continually remounting their drive.
