Question

Assertion Failed message after create brush preset

I created a brush preset with point color settings adjusted. It didn't seem to save the point color swatches when I loaded the brush on another photo. At some point lightroom crashed, and when I went to restart I got assertion failed messages and could not go into the develop tab. I uninstalled and reinstalled LR and same error. After reinstalling windows it was working again. I tried to create a brush preset with point color and same issue. Restarting LR while holding ALT-Shift to reset to default got rid of the assertion error message. Seems like the brush keeps breaking it.

Hey, @KurtlesATX. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

I am working to recreate this on the test machine.

What version of Windows & Lightroom are you working on? Are you working on a series of images with similar color information? Has this started to happen since a recent update to Lightroom?

I could not recreate this on two devices with Lightroom Classic 13.1. Would you mind recording your workflow in a short video and using a cloud file-sharing option to share a link here or with me in a direct message?

Thanks!
