Asus vivobook with 8GB ram for LR?
Hi,
I am now looking for a small PC to travel with and to have access to LR.
The plan is to use this light computer to do the back up of my images when I am on the field (nature photography). So I will mostly work on hard disk using USB 3 (for now, maybe USB-C in the future).
Do you think that the asus vivobook with the following specifications would fit for LR ? Is 8 GB enough? I work with raw pictures that are sometimes heavy (42 Mpix).
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
- Display: 14-inch IPS touchscreen, resolution 1920 x 1080. Glossy finish
- Processor: Intel i5-7200U (Kaby Lake, 2-core) 2.3 GHz. Cache 3 MB
- Memory: 8 GB LPDDR3
- Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 620
- Sound: Asus SonicMaster
- Optical drive: No
- Hard Drive: 256 GB SSD
- Connections: 1 x HDMI, 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0
- Network Features: WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1
- Webcam: VGA
- Battery: 3-cell 42 Wh
- Memory Card Reader: SDXC
- Dimensions: 32.7 x 22.6 x 1.92 cm
- Weight: 1.6 kg
- Change: Illuminated keyboard, included pocket and USB - RJ45 adapter
I have at home a desktop computer where I have all my pictures and videos editing tools. But this small PC would be only to view / have a quick edit and sort the pics.
Thank you!
Florent
