Auto-Imported iPhone Photos not showing

Explorer ,
Jul 07, 2023 Jul 07, 2023

I recently returned from a trip with three weeks worth of photos I am trying to import to LRC from my iPhone 14 Pro.  I have the iCloud set up as a watched auto-import folder and in the past I have always found this has worked flawlesly.  With this batch of imports, only about half the photos show in the Library grid.

If I right-click the Auto-import folder and 'Show in Explorer' I can see all the photos there, but if I search the folder n lightroom for some of the missing photos, they do not appear.  I suspect eith it is because the missing photos are iPhone RAW images or I have hs some sort of limit.  I am showing 29,340 photos when I look at the Auto import folder directly, but only 27,248 are showing in Lightroom.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Thanks,

Paul
