Automatic conversion of raw files to dng on import to LR Classic 12.2.1

My raw files are automatically converted to dng upon import. How do I stop this? Mac Ventura 13.2.1. LR Classic 12.2.1.

Import defaults to Copy as DNG, with Copy as the second choice. The other choices are greyed out.

Add should never even touch your files. It will certainly not convert the files to dng.

The setting that I used is add. I woii try copy.

When you import make sure to select Copy or Add and not Copy as DNG.
